Addiplast Group is proud to present its collaboration with Floreon, with whom it is working hand in hand to transform and shape the plastics industry of tomorrow into a more sustainable industry.
Presentation of Floreon
Floreon is an award-winning company in the field of sustainable materials technology. Floreon’s unique patented formulations take a plant-based plastic (PLA) and enhance its performance, making it up to ten times tougher than standard unmodified PLA. Floreon’s high performance enables it to compete with traditional oil-based plastics while offering a carbon footprint up to six times lower than ABS, for example. With the skills and experience gained from ten years of research and development, Floreon has broadened the potential of PLA beyond single-use products into durable applications. In addition, because Floreon’s materials are derived from renewable resources, they are suitable for both composting and recycling, contributing to the circular economy.

Presentation of Addiplast Group R&D
ADDIPLAST GROUP is a major European player in the compounding of engineering plastics with three production sites in France and a production capacity of 40,000T/ year. It is a family business that stands for values and principles such as innovation, agility and technological development.
“Recycled, Bio sourced, Biodegradable”, these words are frequently used and reflect the awareness of environmental issues in the plastics industry. FLOREON is an organization that aims to shape the future of plastics processing: its expertise in Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) has enabled it to formulate several products for a wide variety of markets.
In 2019, when the partnership between ADDIPLAST GROUP and FLOREON began, the ADDISCIENCE® team (editor’s note: ADDIPLAST GROUP’s R&D center) was very receptive and enthusiastic about working together and developing PLA. ADDISCIENCE®’s extrusion and characterization equipment and its experience in compounding thermoplastic materials were put at the service of FLOREON, each with the idea that they were thus participating in the transformation of the world of plastics processing in the future, by helping to create products that are more environmentally friendly. FLOREON’s strength also lies in its ability to make everyone want to get involved. It is therefore with an undisguised desire that ADDISCIENCE® will continue to advance with FLOREON to research and develop the plastic materials of tomorrow.

Presentation of Addiplast Group export department
ADDIPLAST GROUP offers 100% renewable solutions. Single material, strength, longevity, performance, antimicrobial characteristics are now possible using this patented sustainable material technology.
The approach covers all markets and conversion processes (injection molding, blow molding, sheet extrusion, bi-oriented films, calendaring). We offer possibilities for industrial compost and domestic compost materials. These products are marketed under the ADDIBIO Renew® range.
For example, the percentage of consumers who expect coffee capsule brands to take environmental responsibility is increasing rapidly. We have a solution for the injection of coffee capsules, bio compostable by natural composting and Home compost, offering high performance regarding oxygen and vapor barrier, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance for thin and thick.
Customers are very enthusiastic about developing their own industrial and/or home compostable products.
Each brand, each company has its own strategy regarding the environmental approach of its products. The R&D, sales and marketing teams of ADDIPLAST group are listening to each other on a daily basis to design the materials of tomorrow that are best suited to each strategy.
