Addiscience® and Addicolor's methods in bivis extruder and monovis extruder
Compounding
Extrusion-granulation process
Addiscience® has an extrusion laboratory for compounds and functional masterbatches, which allows:
- To improve the formulation of thermoplastic materials from polymer matrices or additives in the form of granules and powders, but also to feed and dose a raw material in liquid form.
- To provide representative samples of 20–25 kg for evaluation, with the possibility to accompany customers in their development with samples up to 100 kg (about 220.46 lb).
- To optimize the manufacturing process parameters for scale-up on our production lines and to test 2 types of pelletization (strand cutting or underwater cutting).
- To provide necessary information to customer to realize the transformation.
Addicolor has a thermoplastic extrusion laboratory for color and/or functional masterbatch that allows:
- To color and improve the formulation of thermoplastics from polymers, colorants (pigments, dyes) and additives in the form of granules and powders.
- To provide representative samples from 0.3 kg for evaluation, with the possibility to accompany customers in their development with samples up to 100 kg (about 220.46 lb).
- To optimize the manufacturing process parameters for scale-up on our production lines.
- To provide necessary information to customer to realize the transformation.
Injection
Addiscience® and Addicolor have an injection laboratory to:
- Produce standard specimens for characterization tests.
- Inject plates for color control and surface aspects.
- Produce primary color standards.
Thermoplastic extrusion and compression
Addiscience® and Addicolor have a laboratory for extrusion-inflating films, extrusion of strips or tubes and compression of pellets (plate press) which allows to:
- Control the optical quality of the final product
- Check the conditions of dispersion of the fillers
- Estimate the mechanical properties
- Produce specimens of different thicknesses
- Provide film samples on request.
