“First Aid” Training: Learning to Save Lives Together

Because learning to save lives is something we do together!

Our facilities in Saint-Pal-de-Mons (43) recently had the pleasure of hosting the “Prompt Secours” training course, organized by SDIS 43. The Addiplast Group is proud to have made its facilities available for this essential training for future first responders.

The goal of this training is to prepare participants to provide first aid: to assess a patient’s condition, recognize life-threatening emergencies, and perform emergency procedures while waiting for specialized emergency services to arrive.

👨‍🚒 16 trainees participated in this session:

  • 12 youth firefighters (JSP)
  • 4 people interested in joining the volunteer fire department

Throughout the day, several realistic scenarios were simulated: panic attacks, traffic accidents, injuries caused by foreign objects, and severe lacerations. These practical exercises helped the trainees develop their composure, responsiveness, and team spirit 💪.

This session was made possible thanks to the presence of our logistics manager, who is also an instructor with the SDIS, and who helped facilitate this wonderful initiative.

👏 A big thank you to SDIS 43 for their trust and commitment to training future first responders, as well as to all the participants for their enthusiasm throughout the training!

When art takes center stage at the Addiplast site!

Over the past few months, the Addiplast site has been enhanced with two new artistic murals, which have brightened up our workspaces. One was created in the production area, and the other in the administrative offices, each conceived and designed by a different artist.

This artistic project is part of a strong commitment to improving our work environment and strengthening the visual identity of our sites. By adding a touch of color and creativity to our spaces, these murals provide a more inspiring and welcoming setting for all our employees. ✨

These initiatives truly highlight the value of our business lines; they symbolize both Addiplast’s dynamism and the diversity of its markets, in both administrative and production roles. They also reflect the special attention we pay to the quality of our work environments and the well-being of our teams.

This project would not have been possible without the dedication and support of all the teams, who worked closely with the artists throughout the process and ensured that the artworks were seamlessly integrated into the site. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their commitment and their contribution to the success of this initiative.

Interview with Sophie DUFOUR – Lab Technician and Colorist!

Hello Sophie, could you tell us a little about yourself?

After working for over ten years at TOYO INK EUROPE SPECIALITY CHEMICALS as a quality control technician, I joined ADDICOLOR in 2021 following the company’s acquisition, in the same role. I left the region—and the company—in 2022 to pursue a family project. Upon my return in 2025, I had the opportunity to rejoin ADDICOLOR, this time as a laboratory technician and colorist, a role that allows me to fully leverage my experience and skills.

Can you tell us about your career path and what led you to this position as a Laboratory Technician and Colorist?

Throughout my years as a quality control technician, I worked closely with the colorists responsible for developing hair colors on a daily basis. This close collaboration taught me a great deal and fueled my desire to transition into this role, a natural and logical progression given my background.

The experience I gained in quality control is now a real asset, allowing me to take on this new role with solid skills and a deep understanding of the job’s requirements.

What does this new position entail?

My new role involves developing and researching new colors to meet the specific needs expressed by clients. Based on their specifications—which include the desired characteristics of the product, its end use, and any technical constraints—I create the requested shades and then conduct the necessary analyses to ensure that the product perfectly meets their expectations. You have to be quite responsive because deadlines are sometimes tight. Once the shade is approved, it goes into production and is then used and transformed into the final product by the customer.

I work in a laboratory alongside an experienced colorist, whose expertise is invaluable, as well as with the R&D manager. I also work closely with the quality control technicians, whom I support in particular by monitoring production runs for color control as needed. I also work with the QHSE technician to ensure compliance with standards regarding quality, hygiene, safety, and the environment.

What do you like about this new position?

What I like most about my job is being able to contribute to a wide variety of projects, each with its own unique characteristics. I particularly enjoy the satisfaction of achieving a color that perfectly meets the client’s expectations and will then be used in a wide range of applications. It’s always rewarding to see the final product—sometimes even in stores—and to know that I played a part in creating it.

Is there a recent project or achievement you’re particularly proud of?

It’s still a little too early to highlight a truly iconic project. But given the projects coming in, I’m sure I’ll soon have some great achievements to share at a future opportunity.

If you had to describe your role in three words, which ones would you choose?

If I had to describe my role in three words: Development – Analysis – Collaboration.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to advance in this field?

Having experience in quality control in the field of color is a real asset when moving into a colorist role. It provides a solid foundation for understanding the interactions between different raw materials, mastering the various tests to be performed, and becoming familiar with the use of laboratory equipment. This practical knowledge greatly facilitates the transition to color development.

Any final words for the teams you’ll be working with?

I chose to return to ADDICOLOR because my first experience there was very positive, marked by a strong team dynamic and a genuine spirit of cooperation.

I hope to find that same positive energy within the teams I’ll be working with in this new role.

A little slice of nature in the heart of our industrial site 🌿

Three years ago, we built an ornamental pond at the Addikem site, stocked with five beautiful carp 🐟.

The goal? To add a touch of greenery, promote employee well-being, and provide everyone with a space to relax and recharge in the middle of our industrial park.

To ensure the well-being of our carp and maintain the pond’s balance, we wanted to improve their habitat and enhance the quality of their ecosystem 🌸.
A few days ago, we installed a brand-new filtration system in the pond. 🎉
We’ve also adjusted their diet to preserve water quality and prevent foam buildup, thereby contributing to a sustainable natural balance.

📍The pond, with its soothing Japanese-inspired design, is located near a picnic table: the perfect spot to enjoy lunch or a quiet moment surrounded by greenery.

On sunny days, it’s a true haven of relaxation and togetherness on our grounds 🌞

We invite all group members to come rediscover this little haven of peace and admire our magnificent carp ✨.

A wonderful example of how, even in an industrial area, it’s possible to create relaxing, inspiring, and harmonious spaces 🌿
